Sensory Networks' DPI software pushes performance to 160Gbps on Intel platform

Sensory Networks, the leading provider of pattern matching and deep packet inspection (DPI) acceleration software technology, today announced that their HyperScan™ library has delivered DPI throughput of 160Gbps with linear scalability. This was based on an intensive benchmark of HyperScan on a dual-socket platform (8-core, 16 threads per socket) using the new Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 family and Intel® C604 chipset, scanning against a tier-1 commercial IPS signature set. HyperScan fully scales across Intel® architecture, extending from the Intel® Atom™ processor to the highest performing Intel® Xeon® processor.

Sensory Networks launches Chimera Pattern Matcher

Sensory Networks, the leading provider of pattern matching and deep packet inspection (DPI) acceleration software technology, today announced the availability of their new Chimera™ pattern matching software. This library provides 100% support for the regular expression constructs provided by the industry-standard PCRE software library (libpcre) and is capable of matching groups of patterns simultaneously at more than 100Gbps on leading multi-core CPU architectures. Chimera is ideal for applications where a large and varied collection of regular expressions is being used to scan blocks of data at high speed. Applications requiring this type of intensive scanning and inspection functionality include anti-spam, web filtering, email security and many parsing applications associated with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.

Sensory Networks introduces DPI software for low-end device market

Sensory Networks, the leading provider of pattern matching and deep packet inspection (DPI) acceleration software technology, today announced their HyperScan™ library is now optimized to provide high-speed content inspection on a range of low-cost, low-power processors used in networking and security products intended for the SMB and SOHO markets. Optimization for leading CPU architectures that include Intel® Atom™, Broadcom MIPS® and ARM®, allows equipment manufacturers to use HyperScan software to cost-effectively build-out high-speed DPI in their low-end products that include Wi-Fi routers, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, UTM appliances and other network access devices.
